BIKE BOYS IN THE NIGHT
Caught in the mid-stream of my heat in traffic
Something struck you not quite right.
And so you can keep your place, but me, I’ll be
Running with bike boys in the night
Early morning finds the dawn demanding
Love from a heart that’s out of sight
Forever lost I’ll try so hard to find it
Running with bike boys in the night
Soft was the backbone of our lazy pleasure
Long was the sighing of this flight.
Ah but your sadness is not there when I am,
Running with bike boys in the night
Sing all you sweethearts of the funky timing
Sound all them saxophones
I have arrived here at this dedication
Running with bike boys in the night

CREATURE COMFORTS
You’ve got a false impression,
Of what things are really like
Here in the Great Recession,
Dogs don’t bark
They just bite
Creature Comforts
It’s a habit
Creature Comforts
You try you try you try you try you try
To improve your lot in life
But you can’t you can’t you can’t you can’t you can’t remove
Natural trouble and strife
Creature Comforts
It’s a habit
Creature Comforts
It’s just human nature, it’s just human pride
When you see a shop front window
You need the thing inside
Creature Comforts
It’s a habit
Creature Comforts
Creature Comforts
It’s a habit
Creature Comforts
Struggling with all of your might

10,000 WORDS
What in the world makes someone run so
Far from the arms of the one they love
Chasing the ruin of childhood’s desire
The withering heights, Prince Charming on fire.
CHORUS
So it goes, so it goes so it goes, so it goes,
So it goes so it goes so it goes
With all the hustles I have heard, with all the bullshit in this world
Don’t knock this thought it’s not absurd,
A touch is worth 10,000 words
Junked out on love, that’s something to learn from.
Fantastic feeling so often hide lies.
Celluloid heartbreak, that’s comic book stuff.
In times like these, life’s hard enough
CHORUS
Ok you critics and scholars so wise,
I’ve looked in a mirror I can see with your eyes.
If my rap is too heavy I’m easy to blame.
‘Coz in times like these you should bend to the game.
But I just can’t hear that sound in my name

Beginners at heart we now imagine
The product of our creation.
We find ourselves in this situation:
Your movement causes reaction.
And my desire is for your possession:
It’s just obsession
Magnificent Obsession
In a brief, brief limousine
Filled with magazines
Of every description, description and choice
Smothered in sensual noise
Breathing the perfume, perfume and scents
Reeling in the present tense, present tense
Worn out at heart we now examine,
the ruins of our creation
We find ourselves in this situation,
your movement dulls my reaction.
I’ve lost desire for all possession
I’m left with this obsession
Magnificent Obsession
Enough is enough, I wish I could take
A common form of escape
With cigarettes and in bars
Polite action in bars
I’ve got myself, myself to blame
For playing such dangerous games
Dangerous games
It’s just obsession
Magnificent Obsession
It’s just obsession
Magnificent Obsession
It’s just obsession
Magnificent Obsession
It’s just obsession
Magnificent Obsession

TARGET
Let’s face it
Men can be slightly
You can make it
But you might not come out too clean
You could be a target
You could be a target
You could be a target
The rest of your life
Silly thing
Wherever did you get the idea
That things are what they seem
Tightrope walker
You really really got very little to hold on to.
Except for what you do
So keep on
Coming through
You could be a target
You could be a target
You could be a target
The rest of your life
You could be a target
You could be a target
You could be a target
The rest of your life

PRIVATE AFFAIR
A life on the road is passing through
On a stage in every town, it’s all on view
You’re the best thing I’ve found
Now I want you
We’ve had a public romance, I want a
Private affair
Pack my memories in a trunk
And leave them there
Gathering dust and heavy funk
A closed affair
I’m still knocking on you door
If you’re aware
We’ve had a public romance, I want a
Private affair
We’ve had a public romance, I want a
Private affair
Private Affair

JUNGLE LAW
You sit there with your hands tied
Clutching your face, holding your pride
A call from the wild
Has torn you deep inside
Over qualified and unemployed
In your interviews, you’re so paranoid
You’ve got to learn to bother
You’ve got to learn to say please.
Down in your room, there’s the gloom
Of certain silence
And there’s the writing on the wall
Mr Jones, Mrs Lee they’re so pleased
To police morality
You can put it down to Jungle Law
Settees on a Saturday night
Rockets burst at midnight
Human passion
It brings you to your knees
Mr Jones, Mrs Lee they’re so pleased
To police morality
You can put it down to Jungle Law
Jungle Law Jungle Law Jungle Law
You can put it down to Jungle

THE LAST FANTASIA WALTZ
The sound remains the same
It’s like relics from the constant past
And just when you hit a new buzz
Hell you know, it’s gone so fast
His parents split up when he was just eight
and he lived most of his life with relatives and grandparents.
It seemed he lived his whole life
preparing for this single series of events.
The stained and dingy walls
in eighteen floors of urban sprawl
make mute covenant with the people living there.
Except for the occasional cries
of men beating up their wives,
and threatening to kill you if you don’t stop playing
that loud and nasty Rock and Roll.....
It’s last fantasia waltz
Fantasia fantasia the last fantasia waltz
It was a high wild and windy September day,
and the heat of the summer had slipstreamed away.
There was nothing nothing nothing, nothing he could do,
to stop all the flooding of memories from coming through.
For the love of the wildest child,
the chases through the night,
For the love of that one someone who will make it all right
The waiting and hoping and practising to get all the poses tight,
And finally hit the stage in a blinding flash of light......
Chorus
What once seemed to be magic
became people pushing other people around.
The vested self interest of critics
obscured what was really going down.
Then finally finally finally one thought came through:
There’s nothing and no one outside you who’ll give you the truth.
Pages slip by so fast when you’re the one they’re written about.
Stuck in the silver screen with no way out.
Then finding his own destiny in the palm of his hand,
He picked up his ticket to ride,
free through promised land...
